** LATEST NEWS **

  • 25 November - Two goals from Adie Smith and another from Man of the Match Ian Foster give Harriers a comfortable victory over York at Aggborough.
  • 24 November - York are the visitors to Aggborough tomorrow, Dean Bennett is a certain absentee from the clash as he is still suffering from the head wound picked up last week. Paul Webb is also doubtful with his groin injury, and new signing Parfait Medou-Otye is also rested as he is not fully fit. Harriers wll probably line-up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Smith, Bird, Ducros, Foster.
  • 23 November - Harriers have completed the signings of two more players. Parfait Medou-Otye has joined from Morton on an 18 month contract, and Neil MacKenzie has signed for the rest of the season having been released by Cambridge.
  • 21 November - A waterlogged pitch has caused tonight's game at Plymouth to be postponed for a second time. Harriers are also set to sign Neil MacKenzie the former Stoke and Cambridge United midfielder who played in the Harriers youth team back in 1992. Matthew Boswell has joined Bilston.
  • 20 November - Harriers have today tied up deal with John Durnin which will keep the 35 year old striker at the club until the end of the season. The player should be fit to return to the line-up for tomorrow's trip to Plymouth for the rearranged Division Three match. However, due to the continuing bad weather in the South-West, there will be a pitch inspection at 9 am in the morning. Provided the game goes ahead expect Durnin to come into the team in place of Dean Bennett who picked up a head wound in Saturday's cup tie with Burton and could be out for a couple of weeks.
  • 18 November - As has become common of late, Harriers dominate possession and fail to convert it into goals, drawing 0-0 with Burton at Aggborough. The teams must now replay on Tueday 28 November at Eton Park with the winners facing a home tie with Carlisle United in the Second Round.
  • 18 November - Harriers enter the FA Cup today entertaining Burton Albion at Aggborough. The clash brings together two former Liverpool team mates and room mates in Nigel Clough of Burton and Harriers' Jan Molby. The Southern League side will be looking to capitalise on their underdog status and record a famous victory at the same time as gaing revenge for the 4-1 victory Harriers had in a pre-season friendly. Harriers have a couple of injury doubts in Paul Webb and Adie Smith who have minor knocks, certain to be missing is John Durnin who is ineligible due to FA contractual regulations. Harriers will probably line-up as follows: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Bogie, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Smith, Foster, Ducros, Hadley.
  • 14 November - Jan Molby has admitted to an interest in bringing Andy Brownrigg back to the club, but as the player is still under contract to Morton it is unlikely that anything will happen for the forseeable future. Also, Molby is confident of tying up a deal with John Durnin before the end of the week. The Harriers manager has also been linked to the vacant manager's position at Premier League Bradford.
  • 11 November - A disappointing defeat as Harriers throw away the lead to lose 3-1 at Hartlepool. John Durnin's first half strike is not enough as the Harriers' inability to defend at set pieces sees them undone by two corners, 11 out of 23 goals against have now come from set pieces.
  • 11 November - Today's trip to Hartlepool is currently still on, weather in the north-east has not been so bad in the last couple of days. Harriers again have an almost full squad to choose from, Thomas Skovbjerg is the only injury. Tony Bird may keep his place after scoring his first goals for the club in midweek altough most of the players rested from the game against Kingstonian should return. Expect Harriers to line-up something like this: Brock, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Smith, Horne, Bird, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 7 November - Harriers include trialist Matthew Boswell in goal for tonight's Jim Thompson Shield match against Kingstonian. Boswell arrives having previously seen service with both Port Vale and Sligo Rovers. The star of the night, however, is Tony Bird who comes off the bench to score twice in the last three minutes to win the match.
  • 4 November - The local derby between the last two Conference champions ended all square, Harriers taking an early lead before sustained Cheltenham pressure brought about a second half equaliser. Match report.
  • 3 November - Ahead of tomorrow's local derby with Cheltenham, Harriers' only injury is that of Thomas Skovbjerg. The game sees the return to Aggborough of Graham Allner and Mark Yates for a match which should generate a near capacity crowd. St@tto predicts the Harriers to line-up as follows: Clarke, Clarkson, Stamps, Webb, Hinton, Shail, Bennett, Horne, Foster, Ducros, Durnin.
  • 1 November - Steve Pope has been placed on the transfer list. The young defender has been unable to break into the first team since recovering from the ligament injury which kept him out of action for a year and is now available for loan or a free transfer.
