    Appleby To Leave
Richie Appleby has ended the speculation surrounding his future by rejecting Harriers' offer of a new contract.  His current deal expires on June 30 after which he will become a free agent and able to join whoever he chooses.  Hull City are favourites to capture his signature.  On the plus side for Ian Britton, the money that was offered to Appleby will now be available for him to bring in new players.  He has already indicated that he has players in mind and that he will make a move later in the summer.

    Reserves To Be Dropped
In view of the current financial climate surrounding football as a whole and the belt tightening that is being done at the club, Harriers have decided to disband the Reserve team from the start of next season.
Apart from the financial aspect of having a team in the Central League and the amount of travelling that has to be done - this season included trips to Carlisle and Hartlepool and should have also included Scarborough - there would also be the problem of actually fielding a team.  With the first team squad expected to number closer to twenty than thirty next season, greater use of the youth team would have been required but those players are not generally available on weekday afternoons.
The club does intend to reinstate the side at the earliest opportunity, however.
